WELCOME TO THE PASSENGER BENEFIT FUND WEBSITE.
PASSENGER BENEFIT FUND
Following the disruption faced by passengers in summer 2018, the Secretary of State for Transport announced that Govia Thameslink would contribute £15m towards a passenger benefit fund which would be used to provide “tangible improvements for passengers”. We have worked with passenger groups, Councils, MPs, local stakeholders and passengers to determine what passenger benefit schemes this programme will fund.
The consultation period for submitting ideas closed for all GTR managed stations on 31 July and we are currently reviewing all the ideas that have been submitted. The consultation period for non GTR managed stations has been extended until 31 August and passengers can still submit ideas via the Submission Form until that date. These ideas will be reviewed in October.
See, why the Fund was set up, how the fund has been allocated and, what kind of projects can be funded.
Find out how we plan to engage with local stakeholders, passenger groups, rail user groups and elected representatives to help decide how the fund can be used to provide tangible benefits for passengers.
